When we were first researching what it would even take for us to build a home of our own, I did a LOT of Google searches. Especially since we had chosen to build with the cordwood masonry technique, I was really interested to see examples of other people doing it too! The problem?
There wasn’t really anyone else out there showing what it looked like to build.
Sure, I found lots of resources showing how to do it and even a few YouTube videos of people building homes. I found a couple of personal blogs but that was about it. I never found a single resource that showed how real people built their houses from start to finish.
My goal has been to create that resource for other people.
If you’re like us and you want to build your own house by hand, then I’ve put together a PDF guide that shows you chronologically with pictures and highlights just what it took for us to go from dreaming to building to actually living in our own home.
